Friend, this November we invite you to learn about Daniel Quasar (they/ze), LGBTQ+ history maker and the designer behind the Progress Pride flag.

We open a discussion with Quasar about the creative process and personal journey that led to the flag's creation in 2018. Quasar discusses the inspiration drawn from existing Pride flags, the design choices that symbolize momentum forward, and the unexpected viral response. The conversation explores Quasar's journey of becoming a significant figure in LGBTQ+ history and their evolving perspective on proudly owning their contribution to the rich tapestry of Pride flags.

“I had an epiphany that all of these flags matter to each person and they’re flying them for their own reasons. It just shows the grand diversity and sheer individualism that we have within our community that is so beautiful.”
