0.12%, John.
That was the margin of victory for Florida’s Senate race in 2018.
Out of more than 8 million votes cast, Republican Rick Scott won by just 0.12% — or 10,033 votes.
It’s looking like Florida could be close again in next year’s election:
Already, the latest poll has Rick Scott’s approval rating underwater. It also shows former Rep. Debbie Mucarsel-Powell (D) ONE POINT AHEAD.
It doesn’t take an expert to see why folks are ready to send Rick Scott packing:
- Scott is the author of a tax plan that would raise taxes on working families, seniors, and active-duty family members.
- He was the CEO of a company that pleaded guilty to committing the largest Medicare fraud in history.
- He championed a plan that would put Social Security and Medicare at risk.
But it’ll take a lot of work to build up our ground game in states like Florida.
There’s no doubt Donald Trump is making winning in Florida his top priority — which could include protecting one of his top allies, Rick Scott.
So we need to start working now to help Democrats flip one of the most competitive seats in the country.
Urgently, will you rush in $10 so we can defeat extremist Republicans like Rick Scott, flip states like Florida blue, and EXPAND our Senate majority?
