Help build Latino political power! Donate to Voto Latino >>
Earlier this year, Latinos officially became the largest ethnic group in Texas — but despite making up nearly half of Texas' population, Latinos still represent a much smaller slice of the electorate.
Here's how we can change that:
- By registering young Latinos. Much of Texas' Latino population is young — in fact, Latinos account for more than half of Texans under 18.
But by next November's election, nearly 1 million Texas Latinos will reach voting age. If we can get these young people registered and mobilized, their votes could be a gamechanger in 2024.
- By combating voter suppression. Extreme MAGA Republicans in states like Texas know how powerful our votes are. That's why they're doing everything they can to restrict access to the ballot box.
Voto Latino is working across the country to support efforts to expand access to the ballot box. But the best way to counteract these anti-democratic efforts is by making sure our communities know when, where, and how to vote so we can turn out in massive numbers.
Voto Latino is working across the country to register and mobilize young Latinos in states like Texas so we can make our voices heard. Will you donate now to help power our efforts?
