Team,
In 2022, we won our general election with 1.3% of the vote. A few thousand votes stopped a MAGA extremist from representing NY-18 in Congress and giving far-right Republicans another anti-freedom, anti-democracy, anti-equality vote to count on.
So we knew our next race in 2024 was going to be a tight one again. This week, we learned just how close those numbers actually are in a *NEW* poll released by Elise Stefanik to the New York Post.

Pat Ryan: 43%
Republican Opponent: 43%
Undecided: 13%
I’ve sent email after email, text after text, telling you how close our race would be and about the well-funded opponent I anticipated would enter the race. Those dynamics played out as expected: The race is close, and my MAGA opponent Alison Esposito is proving that she has big-money GOP allies willing to spend serious cash on her behalf.
We have to fight back, and we have to do it ASAP. I am asking you personally and urgently to please make a contribution to my re-election campaign today. [[link removed]]
Despite strong headwinds and Democratic losses across the state in 2022, we pulled off a massive win. With this seat to protect and five other toss-up seats to win, New York will be the battleground for the House majority in 2024. I remain confident we can win. We will rally together as we always have, but I need you to step up now and show your support.
Please chip in what you can and know I will fight this out with everything I have. We’ll do it together. [[link removed]]
Yours in service,
Pat
