This week, the House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Administrative State, Regulatory Reform, and Antitrust held a hearing conducting annual oversight of the Antitrust Division at the Department of Justice.
I questioned Assistant Attorney General Jonathan Kanter, what steps the Department is taking to address credit card swipe fees, which according to NACS, will cost New Jerseyans $2.74 billion this year alone. Americans are already struggling in an increasingly expensive economy, and swipe fees cost American families upwards of $1,000 a month.
