Dear A.,
On Tuesday, AIPAC members from across the country joined 290,000 fellow Americans, members of Congress, and families of hostages in Gaza on the National Mall in a triumph of community, patriotism, and pro-Israel pride.
Amid the darkness right now, we are demonstrating powerful strength and conviction to the people of Israel, the United States, and the rest of the world.

I encourage you to watch this 90-second AIPAC video that captures the essence of the day.
We also sent a powerful message through our activism. Together, we spoke strongly and clearly to our elected leaders, urging them to keep supporting Israel and oppose a ceasefire. In the past 7 days, 25,000 calls have been placed through the

emails have been sent to members of Congress and the administration through AIPAC.
This is just the beginning, and we need everyone who cares about Israel to schedule 10 minutes every weekday to make calls into congressional offices. Please help by adding it to your calendar and asking at least five others to do the same.
This week also further demonstrated the stark contrast between Israel and Hamas. The IDF

entered Shifa hospital – the largest medical complex in Gaza – with medical supplies, incubators, and humanitarian goods to help protect civilians inside. Israeli soldiers

uncovered massive caches of Hamas weapons stored in examination rooms and hospital hallways, along with tunnels that traverse deep under the medical center.
This is a war between right and wrong. Good and evil. And Israel will win.
Yesterday I received a Twitter alert that read: Busy day for the Israeli military: Ground operations in Gaza, clashes with Hezbollah in the north, potentially significant terrorist attack thwarted in the West Bank, military operation in Jenin and reported Israeli airstrikes in the Damascus area a short while ago. The heroic strength and determination of the IDF is keeping millions of Israelis safe. The dangers facing Israel are tremendous, underscoring the importance of our work together to ensure America stands with Israel throughout this war and always.
Tonight, Jews will come together and light candles for the sixth Shabbat since October 7. We will carry the weight of October 7 on our shoulders, and the enduring pain of so many lives lost and those 239 hostages stolen from us. We will also take pride in knowing that we are making a difference.
I hope you’ll share the touching

video below. For many of us, Am Yisrael Chai has become our own battle cry. The photo below of two IDF soldiers meeting their newborn babies, and the video of two October 7 survivors reuniting after 40 days, encapsulates that very spirit.
I am deeply honored to be in this fight together with you, and I thank you for your enduring commitment to our shared mission.
May God protect the brave soldiers of the IDF, provide comfort to the people of Israel, and safeguard those kidnapped by Hamas.
Shabbat Shalom,
Michael Tuchin

In this emotional reunion, a husband and wife that survived the October 7 massacre were reunited after 40 days in different hospitals.
The mission of AIPAC is to encourage and persuade the U.S. government to enact specific policies that create a strong, enduring and mutually beneficial relationship with our ally Israel.
