[ [link removed] ]Welch for Vermont
Hi There,
Just over a year ago, you all helped me become Vermont’s next Senator. It
was a humbling and exhilarating night, and a culmination of the work so
many of you did: voting, volunteering, donating, and more.

During that campaign, I talked to thousands of Vermonters from all across
the state about what matters most to them. They told me they were worried
about the future of our democracy. They told me that they wanted a
champion of reproductive rights. They told me about the importance of
combating climate change.
I also heard from folks about how tired they were of constant fighting in
Washington and gridlock that stopped important work from happening.
Every day that I walk on to the Senate floor, I think about those of you
who I met and listened to. Your voices inform the way I vote, my committee
work, and my office priorities.
I’ve been working to strengthen our democracy, protect reproductive
freedom, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and more, all while reaching
across the aisle.
One year since that amazing night, I want to thank you all again for
helping me get to where I am. I’ll keep fighting for you.
Thanks,
Peter
