You may have seen the news that Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin is retiring from his seat in West Virginia. Unfortunately, his departure opens the door for a likely Republican pick-up of his Senate seat. That would bring our hard-won majority back to an even 50-50, with Vice President Kamala Harris as a tiebreaker. Without a strong majority, our pro-choice agenda is at stake. And we already know what Republicans will do if they flip enough seats: Pass a national abortion ban immediately.

So here's where EMILYs List (and you!) come in. We've endorsed pro-choice champion Debbie Mucarsel-Powell to flip a Senate seat in Florida, replacing anti-choice Sen. Rick Scott. Debbie winning this seat would keep Democrats in firm control of the Senate, no matter what happens in West Virginia.
