A centrist Democrat just launched his rematch campaign against Ilhan, whom he narrowly lost to in 2022 by a margin of less than 2,500 votes.

Justice Democrats

John,

Ilhan Omar officially has a 2024 Democratic primary challenger in Minnesota’s 5th congressional district.

Minneapolis city council member Don Samuels launched his rematch campaign against Ilhan, whom he narrowly lost to in 2022 by a margin of less than 2,500 votes.

We can’t waste a moment: will you rush a split contribution of $3 or more right now to help Justice Democrats and Ilhan fight back?

Ilhan’s repeat opponent is a centrist who accused her of having “a predilection to divisiveness and conflict” because of her support for criminal justice reform and calls for a ceasefire and release of all hostages in Israel and Palestine.

In her two terms in Congress, Ilhan has been an unapologetic champion for bold, progressive change and human rights. Samuels meanwhile led efforts on the Minneapolis city council to block a groundbreaking measure that would replace the police force with a public safety agency, after police murdered George Floyd in 2020.

We already know corporate interests and dark money groups like AIPAC are going to come out of the woodwork to support Ilhan’s opponent with huge sums of money and attack ads, as she refuses to do their bidding in Congress and challenges the status quo.

Our movement cannot afford to lose this crucial Squad member in Congress next year. Split a grassroots donation to Justice Democrats and Ilhan’s campaign now to defend her!
