Oklahoma,

Both chambers of Congress have passed a Continuing Resolution, meaning appropriation deadlines have been pushed to January and February of the new year and we have avoided a government shutdown. I will continue to fight for conservative wins as the appropriations process continues. If this email was forwarded to you, you may subscribe to my e-newsletter here.

I was thrilled to welcome the McAlester Defense Support Association (MDSA) to Washington for their 12th Annual McAlester Stampede this week. McAlester is vital to Oklahoma's world-class defense industry and critical to the safety and security of the United States. It was great to celebrate MDSA's contribution to this success and see so many familiar faces.

I had a productive meeting with representatives from the Farm Credit of Western Oklahoma and Oklahoma AgCredit to hear how these cooperatives reinvest in their customers and local communities. We also discussed how to ensure the next generation of farmers and ranchers is set up for success.

Last week, I had the honor of speaking in front of the Golda Meir Commemorative Coin Committee in recognition of the 75th anniversary of U.S.-Israel relations. Golda Meir served as the first female Prime Minister of Israel, and the committee convened to affirm America's support for Israel amidst the horrific war.

Christie and I had the privilege of spending Veterans Day weekend with Oklahoma’s National Guard members deployed with Task Force Tomahawk in the Horn of Africa alongside Governor Stitt and my fellow congressional delegation colleagues. I couldn’t be more grateful for the sacrifice each and every one of these national guardsmen and women, along with their loved ones, have made to protect our homeland in the U.S. and abroad. As we enter the holiday season, may we all reflect on this sacrifice and say a prayer of gratitude for their service.

In Oklahoma, less than half of rural residents have access to broadband internet, a necessity most people across the country have enjoyed at a low cost for years. This week, I introduced the Lowering Broadband Costs for Consumers Act to strengthen broadband connectivity throughout rural Oklahoma and reduce the financial burden on consumers. Click here to read more about this important legislation.

Too often, big union boss thugs bully and intimidate workers and job creators to get their way. This week, I stood up to a union bully during a committee hearing. In typical bully fashion, he was all talk and no action. I joined Hannity on Fox News to discuss the interaction. Check it out here

I joined the Ruthless Podcast to go into a bit more detail about what went down. We also discussed my family's call to service and why I ran for Congress. Check out the episode here.

Thursday was Oklahoma's 116th birthday! On November 16th, 1907, Oklahoma joined the union and officially became the 46th state. Today and every day I am proud to be an Oklahoman.
