Dear john,
Earlier this week, the Supreme Court - for the first time in history - adopted a code of ethics for justices.
Since ProPublica first broke the news in April about Clarence Thomas' relationship with a billionaire, and with the new details that have emerged since, the integrity of the Court has been at stake.
Despite this long-awaited, small step in the right direction, I'm disappointed by the lack of enforcement mechanisms for violations of the code of ethics.
I'm proud to say I support efforts to reform the highest court of the land, including as an original cosponsor of the Judiciary Act of 2023.
