Here at Black Lives Matter, we are beyond excited – because we're
sooo close to Giving Tuesday, a day for us to generously give and unleash the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world!
Look, this is a special occasion for our movement. In the past, we've raised over $100K for various organizations for Giving Tuesday. And right now, we're just shy of our $50,000 goal. Can you chip in right now, John?

Let's dig into what these organizations do as their work speaks volumes about the complexity and importance of our fight for Black lives:

Coalition for Food and Health Equity: The Coalition for Food and Health Equity builds power within communities through sustainable, community-grown cultures of health. They place hunger within the larger context of racial health equity, working to end hunger, improve health, and advance economic equity within historically marginalized communities.

Oscar Grant Foundation: The Oscar Grant Foundation helps to mend the distrust between residents in predominantly Black, high-crime communities and law enforcement. Their programs are designed to build self-esteem and empowerment among youth, support mothers whose sons have been killed by gun violence, and improve the relationship between their local police and their community.
These are just some of the organizations that are at the forefront of ensuring that Black lives aren't just acknowledged but are valued.
Our mission is clear: We are steadfastly working toward freedom, justice, liberation, and the affirmation of our shared humanity. This includes dismantling systemic racism that permeates areas like health, housing, socio-economics, climate change, and education.
We're fully aware that real change requires a collective effort. No single organization can achieve the profound transformation we aspire to see in the world. It's through unity, collaboration, and supporting one another that we can bring about the change we seek.
We're only ever going to achieve total Black liberation and a world where Black people can thrive if we work together in all aspects of the fight against white supremacy. That's why for this year's Giving Tuesday, we chose organizations that play a crucial role in our movement.
These two organizations are dedicated to the fight for Black freedom and liberation and stand on the shoulders of our ancestors in the work they do every single day. So please, before Giving Tuesday is over, donate whatever you can to help them in their part of fighting for Black futures.
