This happened as Spanish liberals are trying to take over the country extralegally.
These stories, and others in Spain, aren't receiving nearly as much attention as they should. Political currents in foreign countries, after all, have a history of foreshadowing America's future.

“[Spain's current government] has proposed legislation to grant amnesty for the worst crimes committed by public servants, crimes against the constitution, and crimes against national unity. Certainly, [Spanish Prime Minister] Pedro Sánchez is a politician who awards amnesty to other politicians in exchange for their votes so he can stay in power... It is the greatest act of corruption that a politician can commit."
