We’re excited to formally invite you to join us for the 89th convention of the Young Democrats of North Carolina in Durham from February 9–11, 2024!

We’re also excited to announce we’ve negotiated one of the most affordable room rates we’ve ever had at just $99 per night, and we’ve made convention tickets free for all members. This convention will be bigger, busier, and better—all while exceeding the standard for venue, price, and location accessibility.

We’re honored to host some of the biggest names in youth organizing from across the country, as well as YDNC alumni, candidates, and elected officials. We’ll be sharing more information about our speakers and programming over the coming weeks.

We’re following a successful showing in the 2023 municipal elections that saw 29 new Young Democrats elected in 22 counties across the state, and YDNC is gaining momentum heading into 2024—particularly in Black, brown, and historically marginalized communities. It’s been 7 years since YDNC has held convention in the Triangle and we’re thrilled to be back.

And to our college members current and future: YDNC will present the inaugural Kay Hagan Memorial Scholarship at this year’s convention. Two $500 scholarships will be awarded to young women pursuing higher education in fields of political science and public administration. Keep an eye on your email when applications open on December 1st.
