After months of the powerful Salem special interests beating the bushes around Bend – they have found their candidate to run against me. 

I welcome the fight.  

But now that I have an officially declared opponent, I need your strong support to be ready for the tough campaign ahead. Will you join me today?

Very soon, I expect these ultra-partisan special interests and my opponent to begin slinging mud my way to try to defeat me. In reality, it’s not really me they want to defeat – they want to defeat leadership that is independent, moderate, and locally-focused.

The state budget is at an all-time high and taxpayers are paying more than ever before. It’s why I voted against big new tax hikes that make Bend even more expensive and less affordable for working families.  

I’m running to make sure Bend has leadership that puts positive progress ahead of unnecessary partisanship.  

If we fail to take action immediately, we will hand them a head start... on a silver platter. They’ll cruise to victory. Nothing will stand between them and our moderate values. 

We need to respond quickly if we stand a chance – will you do your part now?

As a working mom and small business owner – on the school board and now in the legislature - I’ve served the people of Bend not for partisan advantage or personal ambition, but because I care about our community – our schools, our small businesses and our quality of life. I’ve never considered one elected office as a stepping stone to another – and I never will. 

This campaign is going to be tough – and expensive. You’ve been there for me before, but now is the time to take a stand. I am grateful for your support and will do everything I can to make you proud of your support.
