The climate crisis and corporate greed threaten every part of our lives. The political mayhem in Washington, D.C. is detrimental to the work that needs to be done to protect your food, water, and our planet. It can give the feeling that we are moving backward instead of forward.
The 2024 election may seem like miles away, but at Food & Water Action we are already planning and strategizing to elect more climate champions and vote out anti-science, climate-denying corporate enablers by mobilizing thousands to make real change.
Why? Because we are fighting with you and for your future! Everyone should have access to sustainable food, clean water, and a livable climate.
Our strategy means we win the unwinnable fights — at the ballot box, the halls of Congress, and on the ground. Corporations may have the money, but people power is what makes lasting change.
In 2022, we elected first-time candidate Chris Deluzio (PA-17) to Congress by knocking on thousands of doors in his district. Now in Congress, Rep.Deluzio was among the first Federal elected officials to respond to the Norfolk Southern train derailment that polluted his southwest Pennsylvania district. He has also helped Food & Water Action push key water infrastructure funding legislation forward.
Now, we need to defend Rep. Deluzio in his 2024 reelection campaign and elect others like him so that Democrats can retake control of the House.
We’ve already built a list of target districts in New York, California, Iowa, Oregon, and elsewhere. I’m excited to share it with you in the coming months as we finalize our plans.
In 2024, from the State House to the White House, with our strong grassroots organizing, we will work to elect climate champions and pressure our leaders to take the bold action needed to address the climate crisis, ban factory farms, and get chemicals out of our drinking water — building on our wins to achieve a livable future.
Food & Water Action and its affiliated organization, Food & Water Watch, are advocacy groups with a common mission to protect our food, water, and climate.
