Supreme Court says Florida can’t enforce anti-drag law
In a significant blow to floundering presidential wannabe and part-time Gov. Ron DeSantis, the US Supreme Court refused to reverse a lower court ruling blocking Florida's draconian transphobic ban on public drag shows from going into law. But don’t get your hopes up too high. The radical right-wing justices on the high court haven't suddenly seen the rainbow-colored lights on this issue, as the ruling was largely made on technical grounds to allow a full review of the law's constitutionality to work its way through the courts. But any defeat for DeSantis, even temporary, is still a win for America.

The jury in the federal trial of former police detective Brett Hankison, who was charged with two counts of civil rights violations and using excessive force following the disastrous, late-night, no-knock raid that left Breonna Taylor dead, told a judge Thursday that they were hopelessly deadlocked, resulting in a mistrial. "The family is disappointed," Taylor's attorney told reporters. "This is not the outcome they wanted, but we are here for the long game... we live for another day to fight for justice for Breonna."

Israel shows photos of weapons and a tunnel shaft at Gaza's al-Shifa hospital as search for Hamas command center continues
The Israel Defense Forces released photos and video clips Thursday showing what it described as Hamas "terror infrastructure" inside the al-Shifa hospital in Gaza City, including an "operational tunnel shaft," weapons, and ammunition. Al-Shifa is Gaza's largest medical facility and has been rendered completely unoperational amidst Israel's bombardment of the enclave. That Hamas is a terror group — which uses human shields, operates in and around hospitals, and must be stopped — is established fact. It is also clear that Prime Minister Netanyahu's forces are acting without regard for innocent life, killing 100 children per day for six weeks, and it's well past time for the carnage to end.
