As Thanksgiving approaches, we want to extend our warmest wishes to each and every one of you. We hope this holiday brings joy, gratitude, and cherished moments with your loved ones.
In order to embrace the holiday festivities, there will not be a newsletter sent next week. As we take this time to celebrate and reflect, we'll be pausing our regular updates .
Thank you all for your continued passion for progress and your commitment to our shared values that inspire us every day. We look forward to reconnecting after the Thanksgiving break.
Wishing you a Thanksgiving filled with warmth, laughter, and an abundance of blessings.

Florida's Board of Governors (BOG) is comprised of seventeen members, fourteen of whom are appointed by the Florida Governor. The Board oversees the operation and management of the Florida public university system’s twelve institutions. Early November, the BOG proposed several alarming rules that target diversity programs and sociology classes.
You can take action before the BOG meets again in January to vote on these provisions. Comments are due on November 23, 2023 so we need to move fast. Learn how to share your comment HERE.
Florida's 2024 Legislative Session begins on January 9, 2024 and lawmakers are already back in Tallahassee for Interim Committee Meetings.
While we have not seen any events offered by our own State Senator Grall or Representative Brackett, lucky for us, Rep. Anna V. Eskamani is hosting her annual pre-session briefing! From bills being filed to committee meetings, debate, votes, and passing the budget, she'll unpack what you can expect, how to follow along, and how to make sure your voices are heard.
Join Representative Anna V. Eskamani on Monday, November 27th from 6:00pm to 7:30pm for a pre-session virtual Legislative Preview, making sense of the main priorities in our State Capitol and sharing valuable information on how to fight back and be heard by your elected state lawmakers.
RSVP online for Zoom room access here. Closed captions are available on Facebook Live and Zoom in English.
After the Lewiston Maine assault weapon mass shooting, the newly established White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention initiated an all of government response by helping to establish housing services and mental health support for the traumatized community. Last week, our Congressman Bill Posey voted to DEFUND the office. Call him at (202) 225-3671 and ask why Bill Posey does not support gun violence survivors.
