There has been an alarming explosion of anti-Israel and anti-Jewish sentiment since 7th October.
In rallies across Europe and the West, masses have condemned Israel and demanded the liberation of Palestine “from the river to the sea”.
In the past days, Osama Bin Laden’s “Letter to America” has gone viral. In this 2002 document, the author of the 9/11 attack on the Twin Towers asks: “Why are we fighting and opposing you?” and answers “You attacked us in Palestine.” He states that the claim that the Jews historical rights in Palestine, is “one of the most fallacious, widely-circulated fabrications in history.” He claimed that Muslims superseded Jews as the inheritors of the Torah, and that the land therefore belongs to them. Further, “governments have surrendered to the Jews.”
Jews across the world are feeling increasingly isolated and vulnerable.
At the same time, the genocidal Hamas organization remains responsible for the current war and is so far refusing to release the 240 hostages whose condition and location is unknown. Dead bodies of two hostages have been recently found.
Let us pray this coming week with increasing fervour that the Lord will protect His people, that the spirit of antisemitism will be defeated, and that the current conflict will come to a speedy conclusion with minimum possible loss of life.
Above all, let us pray for the coming of Messiah, who will judge the nations and wipe away the tears from every eye.
