Fifteen protests across the UK

Hello John

“If we are just focusing on what we can do as individuals, we are effectively reading bedtime stories in a house that’s burning down. We need collective change.” - Elizabeth Cripps, Senior Lecturer in Political Theory and author.

Mothers Rebellion are holding 15 peaceful protests across the UK tomorrow. Find your nearest.

A person sits on the floor with a small black banner that says: I am here for all children

These are part of a movement spanning 30 countries on 6 continents, and coincide with World Children’s Day.

Globally, at least 43 million children were displaced over the past six years due to extreme weather events. Poverty, food insecurity and forced displacement increase the risk that children will experience violence, abuse and exploitation.

Britain’s most senior paediatrician Dr Kingdon says that in the UK "
Healthcare professionals are already seeing its impacts first-hand. Air pollution, extreme weather and unprecedented energy costs are having a real and detrimental effect on millions of children.”

Mothers Rebellion for Climate Justice is made up of mothers, daughters, sisters, nieces, aunties, grandmothers, and their allies. We demand that the UK incorporate children’s right to a clean, healthy and sustainable environment into law - and then takes steps to implement it. Join us.

Love and rage,

Kristine from Mothers Rebellion
