Dear Free Software Supporter,

The Free Software Foundation's (FSF) shop is open for the holiday season until December 15, 2023 -- and we have a holiday special for you! Come take a look at the GNU Press shop page, and support software freedom by treating yourself with, or gifting someone else, nice items from our shop.

Baby GNU holiday special

To celebrate that the GNU Press shop is back online during the season, we have a special offer. If you order a stuffed baby gnu -- one of our most sought-after items -- you receive a special gift. Our popular baby gnu is small, soft, poised, and eager to migrate onto your computer desk or bookshelf.

Ada & Zangemann: A tale of software, skateboards, and raspberry ice cream will inspire children's interest in tinkering and encourage shaping technology. What better way is there to learn about free software than by starting on a young age? Together, we can build a future in which everyone will be able to learn in freedom and will know their rights as a user.

In the northern hemisphere, it's that time of the year again when you snuggle up on your couch with a nice hot drink in your GNU Emacs "Auto-Fill Mode" mug to warm your hands. Looking for something to keep you warm outside? Our cozy GNU beanie and "Free Software, Free Society" zip-up hoodie are just the things to keep you toasty, and their maroon colors pair with almost anything.

Not cold at all? Reading an Emacs manual is hard in the glaring sun, so shade your eyes with a GNU baseball cap, which is included in our "Emacs de Luxe" bundle. The Emacs de Luxe Bundle includes everything from the "All Things Emacs" bundle" -- a copy of the GNU Emacs manual, a GNU Emacs mug, a handy reference card of Emacs commands, and ten stickers -- plus a GNU Emacs logo T-shirt in your size, together with the GNU baseball cap.

Thinking about getting a gift for a GNU-loving friend or family member? Then, now is a great time to place that order! And if you want to get your order in time for holiday gifting by December 24, please note the following:

  • For international free software supporters: please submit first class delivery orders by Friday, December 1. Doing so will help ensure that package will arrive on, or before, December 24.

  • For free software supporters in the US: you must place your order by Friday, December 15.

We will do our best to ship your order in time.

If you become an FSF associate member, you can enjoy a discount of 20% on all merchandise. You can start for as little as $12 per month ($6 for students), or $140 per year. All purchases directly support the mission of the FSF to protect the freedom to run, copy, change, and share our software! Want to support the FSF without buying anything, or simply want to make sure that 100% of your money will benefit our work? You can always gift an FSF associate membership with all the membership benefits. Or, support our efforts by ensuring a contribution.

We're excited to fill your holiday orders with FSF-themed holiday spirit. Thank you for supporting the FSF.

With warmth,

Anouk Rozestraten
Deputy Director
