Today marks one year since the GOP took control of the House.

Since the beginning of the 118th Congress, the Republican majority has engineered one crisis after another.

Let’s take a moment to recap the lowlights of a GOP majority in Congress:

First, they nearly caused a global economic meltdown with their default threat earlier this year, before finally agreeing to a last-minute bipartisan deal.

Then, they went back on their word and brought us to the brink of a government shutdown at the end of September.

And just when it seemed like things couldn't get any worse, they abruptly threw out their own Speaker, leaving the House without a Republican leader for almost four weeks in October.

It's clear that MAGA Republicans are more interested in grandstanding and causing chaos than in actually governing.

Despite all this, House Democrats have remained united and focused on putting People Over Politics. They've been working hard to find solutions to the issues that matter most to Americans, and they're not going to let the GOP's antics distract them from their mission.
