Friend,
We are so excited to announce the launch of our new voter registration and turnout project in New York!
Over the past several cycles, New York’s youth turnout rate has lagged behind that of other states. In 2022, less than 21% of eligible youth voters turned out to the polls. At a time where we saw youth voter turnout rates grow between 2016 and 2022, this is concerning.
Our Organize New York plan has three major solutions to this problem:
• Registering 20,000 students
• Deploying pro-democracy messaging (issues we know young people care about)
• Mobilizing 90,000 campus commitments to vote.
Pro-democracy messaging is proven effective at getting young people to the polls!
We are so excited about this project and we know that the youth vote in New York will grow in the next election.
But we can’t launch this project without your help, and we’re counting on each of you to chip in $25 to help register students and mobilize them in New York and support all of our pro-democracy efforts. Chip in now >> [link removed]
College-aged students are the group with the most at stake in the future of our country. Your contribution will go to helping us message directly to our youth.
In New York, over 45% of 18-year-olds are not registered to vote. That’s thousands of young people who have no voice in our democracy or what kind of world they’ll inherit.
If you want to see our young people turn out and vote, then please contribute $25 or even $50 to our Organize New York plan and support all our efforts to protect democracy. Donate now >> [link removed]
The past few years have shown us that young voters have a tremendous power when they make their voices heard, and our Organize New York plan seeks to harness this power to create a positive impact on our democracy.
Every contribution of $25 will go a long way to getting our youth registered and mobilized in New York. We are passionate about protecting our democracy and engaging the youngest voters among us, which is why this project is so important to us. We know you also care about the future of our democracy, which is why we’re asking for you to be with us on this. Can you chip in $25 to support us in New York and all over the country? Thank you.
