John,

As right-wing groups and politicians escalate their attacks to erase Black history from classrooms and Black and gay authors from libraries, Color Of Change members and allies across the country are fighting back — and we’re counting on your support to fuel our efforts.

Our students deserve access to a quality education, accurate history and more care in the education system. Will you make a contribution of $25 or more to our mid-month fundraising drive to power our campaigns for education justice?

This summer, hundreds of folks attended COC’s virtual training sessions designed to equip students, parents and educators to show up confidently at their local school board meetings to demand that school curricula and libraries include and accurately reflect the history, struggles and contributions of Black people in America.

Last month, COC members from Boca Raton to Birmingham and Denver to Los Angeles attended our recent “Empowerment Lab: Storytelling Roundtable” to learn how to craft their personal stories into narratives for social change. And this December, COC will offer additional #DefendBlackHistory training sessions in conjunction with the National Education Association.

Color Of Change is committed to empowering our communities to lean into their power — and to holding government and corporate decision-makers accountable for their harmful policies and actions. If you’re with us in the fight, pitch in $25 or more to our mid-month fundraising drive to fuel our ongoing work to defend Black history!
