4. An update on our response to the Hawaii wildfires

When deadly wildfires broke out in August in Hawaii, Americares was able to respond quickly, providing emergency funding and shipments of medicines and supplies. Since then, our team spent more than a month in Maui offering mental health and psychosocial support to communities impacted by the devastating fires. 

We’ve recently partnered with another organization to provide a portable clinic in Maui that will be used to provide health services to people on the island who are unhoused or fire-displaced.
