Yesterday, people all across the country moved their clocks forward.

The extra hour of sunshine brings smiles to our faces and puts a spring in our steps. It's something I certainly look forward to every year.

I was proud to author the bill in 2005 that increased the number of weeks for Daylight Saving Time.

Not only does it encourage us to get outside and enjoy the outdoors, but it also provides energy savings. Since it was enacted, this change has helped consumers save money and electricity. It's a win-win.

Now let's be clear: Changes like this on their own are not at the scale we need to confront the climate crisis. That's why we need the Green New Deal, and I need your help to continue that fight.
