John, did you catch today’s POLITICO article about CA-47?
In a district widely considered a bellwether for our chances of retaking the House, Democrats in Orange County -- and across the country -- know how important it is to nominate the strongest Democrat possible in CA-47.
The good news is we have just that in Joanna, but don't just take our word for it. Here's a quote from OC representative Linda Sanchez:
“Weiss’ experience mobilizing women voters will be essential in 2024, as Democrats hope to harness the lingering anger about the overturning of Roe v. Wade. As recent elections in Ohio and Virginia showed, the right to an abortion remains a deeply potent issue.
When you talk about things like a woman’s right to choose, that’s very personal. Being a woman in that race, she’s going to be able to deliver that message.”
Rep. Linda Sánchez (D-Calif.)

Joanna also consistently reports the largest number of low-dollar, grassroots donors from Democrats across Orange County.
That's important because David Wasserman of the Cook Political Report says that if "Democrats can coalesce around Weiss" we can put up a strong fight to keep the seat!
With Joanna at the helm, we're in our strongest position to win this race, but we need to keep pushing:
With Joanna's race landing in the national spotlight, we are hoping you can send in your first $3 donation to keep our momentum going strong.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
CA-47 is becoming
ground zero in the fight for House control, and the implications here touch everything -- from reproductive rights to protecting Social Security and Medicare, and the very stability of our democracy.
Republicans and our opponent Scott Baugh are looking for any reason to jump in with millions of dollars to crush our chances. Our best firewall against that is a
unified and strong grassroots movement.
That’s where you come in:
Please send in a $3 to support our campaign to keep the 47th blue.
Thank you,
