The holidays may be approaching (did you see the Rockefeller Tree is coming from Vestal! ([link removed]) ), but my work for our communities isn't slowing down.

Check out some of the recent highlights below. And I wish you and your family a happy Thanksgiving!
We all know the horrific effects of the opioid epidemic. It is the greatest public health emergency of our lifetime. We must take decisive action to save lives.

I'm proud to have introduced the Supporting Access to Vital and Affordable Care for Everyone (SAVE) Act that expands access to over-the-counter naloxone and was proud to have groups such as Mothers Against Prescription Drug Abuse, stand with me in support of this.

Additionally, I have pushed the Federal Communications Commission to implement a system that reroutes calls made to the National 988 Crisis Lifeline to local call centers. Having this lifesaving technology is indispensable for addressing New York state's mental health crisis; it's a necessity we cannot afford to be without.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I will continue to stand with Israel as they defend their right to exist. We must hold Hamas terrorists accountable for their crimes. Biden needs to stay firm in support of Israel.

I'm excited to announce that over $1.5 million in federal funding will be delivered to multiple police departments in order to address the law enforcement labor shortage in upstate New York.

This funding will help improve our community safety as departments are better able to attract and retain police officers.

The Administration's attempt to claw back social security payments is unfair and unacceptable. I'll continue to push back and make sure that doesn't happen for our seniors.

We all know that far too often our seniors find themselves isolated, especially those with disabilities or living in rural areas. By bringing the successful 'Friendly Calls for Seniors' program to the national level, we can combat loneliness and help seniors live fuller and more dignified lives. It was an honor for me to introduce this bill to bring this program to the national level.
