The Minneapolis Police Department is down nearly 200 officers since
the four officers were imprisoned over the George Floyd case. Now, the
city wants to throw money at the problem, offering current officers
$17,500 to stay for two-and-one-half years; new recruits will get
$15,000 if they stay for three years.
