Hi John,
NIAC has been at the forefront of civil rights, human rights, and foreign policy since our founding in 2002. We've been a strong voice for advancing peace and diplomacy, by walking the halls of Congress, and working directly with leaders at all levels including the Obama administration to realize a diplomatic deal with Iran.
Today, we are taking on the Trump administration— using every instrument we can from the Courts to Democratic leaders — in order to secure equitable immigration practices and protect civil rights, especially in light of this administration's vicious attacks and the ban on Muslim communities. We’re committed to protecting civil rights in the United States and spotlighting human rights in Iran, including by challenging discrimination against Iranian Americans and working to repeal crippling sanctions that hurt ordinary Iranians and embolden Iran's hardliners.
Ultimately, our goal is simple: to build political power for the Iranian-American community, so we have a loud and powerful voice to advocate for ourselves.

As we look ahead, our community and our allies faces many challenges, but NIAC will stay focused and advocate for all of our best interests. You can count on that.
We’re a grassroots-powered organization, so our work is only possible because of our supporters and membership. Our members are made up of a proud base of progressive, pro-diplomacy Iranian Americans and likeminded allies— and you’re the ones who set our advocacy priorities.
We’ll be in touch with ways to make a difference, but if you’d like to learn more about us and our work in the meantime, check out our website [[link removed]] .
Thanks,
Jamal Abdi
