Since the beginning of my career in public service, I have carried the values my parents instilled in me: hard work and persistence. They taught me to believe that with those values always at the forefront, anyone can make an impact on the world.
That’s why I’ve dedicated my career, from my time in the Florida State Legislature to serving in Congress, to breaking down barriers and getting things done for Florida families and all Americans.

As a working mother and breast cancer survivor, I’ve spent my time in public service working to ensure families from all walks of life can overcome hurdles and succeed.
This means expanding accessible and affordable health care, protecting women’s reproductive freedom, safeguarding Social Security and Medicare, standing up for equality for all, and ensuring that our brave service men and women and first responders have the support they need.
In a divided political climate, when the Trump administration’s reckless agenda threatens to undo all of our progress, we can’t afford to sit this fight out.
