Last night, LeVar Burton hosted the National Book Awards, continuing to
share his love of reading all of these years after "Reading Rainbow" went
off the air.^2

And he's been a critical partner in the fight to stop MAGA book bans.

Together, LeVar and MoveOn have:

* Mobilized nearly 475,000 MoveOn members to sign petitions against book
bans.^3
* Launched a nationwide Banned Bookmobile Tour, educating people across
the country about MAGA book bans and giving away thousands of banned
books for free.^4
* Promoted a wildly popular "Read Banned Books" T-shirt.^5
* Led almost 175 artists, authors, musicians, and entertainers—including
Judy Blume, Ariana Grande, Roxane Gay, Chelsea Handler, and Guillermo
del Toro—in a statement denouncing the rising wave of book bans across
