Wow, this has been a rough year and it is not getting any easier. This year has, and continues, to see some of the worst we have ever experienced in everything. We actually didn’t have a Speaker of the House for a while and that is somehow not the wildest thing that has happened this year. Wars, genocides, inflation, extreme weather, multiple trials of the century, I mean, what hasn’t happened? On top of all that, the nonprofit world saw a massive hit in fundraising and voter suppression saw major increases domestically and internationally. This was a roller coaster of a year and we still have a month and a half left. Maybe we should all just hide under the covers until the new year.
Of course, 2024 is going to be another big year. I think it’s too much to hope for a peaceful election season, but I am very much hoping that we see the kind of energy, passion, and action that we saw in 2016 and 2020. Here at STV + PID we’ve been planning for 2024 since this summer because we know that it is going to take everything we have to make sure that as many people in this country can vote as possible. The work will be more difficult next year than ever before but that’s even more reason to redouble our efforts and get to work.

I hope that you spend as much time as you need resting and recuperating this winter, and that you join us next year as we work to get IDs in hands and souls to the polls in some of the biggest and most innovative ways that we have ever attempted.
Over the last weeks of the year I’ll tell you more about our plans and we have a very special report coming out soon but in the meantime, don’t forget to turn off the news and spend some quality time doing whatever helps you find peace. Remember, you can’t pour from an empty cup. And if you’d like to support us this winter, I can’t begin to tell you how much we appreciate it.
Thank you so much,
Kat
