Texas is exceptional because of you.
Today, I released my “2020 Report to the People of Texas,” which includes all that we accomplished together in 2019 and what we must do to keep Texas the envy of the nation.
Opportunity in the Lone Star State is limitless because Texans value and fight for personal and economic liberty. In Austin, it’s our job to make sure Texans have the freedom to succeed.
Lawmakers in 2019 were able to achieve legislation that:
- Provides lasting property tax relief
- Limits local governments’ ability to increase property taxes
- Directs more resources to classrooms
- Improves school safety
- Enhances disaster preparedness
- Combats human trafficking and delivers justice for victims of sexual assault
- Protects life, liberty, and more
And it’s no secret that the Texas economy continues to thrive with record job growth and an unrivaled workforce.
As opportunity grows endlessly, we need to remain vigilant. We need to keep Texas…well…Texas. Thank you for all that you do to make sure Texas continues to be the best place to live, to work, and to raise a family.
