Friend, I completed another 22 County Tour over the weekend! We’ve held town halls, walked down rural Main Streets, and heard from Iowans of all walks of life about the issues most important to them. If there’s one message I’ve heard loud and clear, it’s that we need to make D.C. run more like the great state of Iowa. It is my honor to tell Iowans’ stories in Washington and be your voice. I’ll continue working to bring a dose of Iowa commonsense to Congress. Check out a recap of this round of the 22 County Tour and learn more about my most recent stops. 📍 Linn County (Cedar Rapids) - I joined international students and faculty for the Multicultural Fair and Experience at Mount Mercy University to learn more about their home countries and their experience in the United States. 📍 Buchanan County (Independence) - I met with the team at Heartland Acres to learn more about their work to showcase the importance of Iowa agriculture with visitors from near and far. 📍 Delaware County (Manchester) - I spoke with Sheriff LeClere, deputies, and staff at the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office about the challenges they face as they work tirelessly to protect our communities and keep Iowans safe. 📍 Clayton County (Edgewood) - I hosted a town hall meeting in Edgewood to provide an update and answer Iowans’ unfiltered, unscreened questions on the border, energy, China, and more. 📍 Bremer County (Waverly) - I held a town hall meeting in Waverly to provide an update on my work in Congress and efforts to cut through the chaos and dysfunction in Washington. 📍 Black Hawk County (Waterloo) - I joined Manufacturing Day at the TechWorks Campus in Waterloo and learned more about their work to help students gain in-demand skills in partnership with the University of Northern Iowa and Hawkeye Community College. 📍 Dubuque County (Dubuque) - I joined a roundtable discussion with the Dubuque Chamber of Commerce, business owners, and community leaders on ways we can engage and sustain the local workforce. 📍 Fayette County (Oelwein) - Mistie and Markus Mullen moved their family from California to Iowa and now run Black Bird Coffeehouse in Oelwein.
