Hello,

November is Diabetes Awareness Month, an important time to educate and raise awareness on a disease that impacts millions of American families. The Coalition is focused on the proactive steps that hospitals and health systems across the country are championing in diabetes prevention and treatment.

The Coalition acknowledges how diabetes impacts families and communities across the country: one in every ten Americans is living with diabetes, and one in three is living with prediabetes.

This month, our Coalition blog sheds a light on diabetes prevention, treatment, and support. We hope that you’ll take a minute to read and learn more! [[link removed]]

A hospital or health system in your area is an important resource on diabetes and other health care issues. Many hospitals offer diabetes management programs, often using health care providers and diabetes educators, to provide care and support for patients and their families. As you’re learning more, be sure to ask your health care provider if your local hospital or health system has a diabetes program for you or an affected family member.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more. Together, we can all play a part in making our communities healthier and stronger.
