Blacks & Hispanics
top the list of crime victims.
Dallas's per capita crime is up while
the per capita police budget is down.Minority Men & Boys Still Top
Murder Victims
[link removed]
en-boys-of-color/ DPD is still struggling to get control of Dallas’s
murder rate, and nonwhite men and boys are paying the ultimate price,
according to Dallas’s crime overview dashboard. The City reports that
there have been 216 murders in 2023 as of November, which is a 12.5%
increase over the previous year.

Dallas’s City Council is unwilling
to ask why Blacks and Hispanics continue to top the list of crime
victims because of their ideological commitments to Woke pro-crime
policies. Activist council members still believe that a lower police
presence (or defunding the police entirely) will create “equity” and
allow so-called “underserved” communities to rebuild their communities.
In reality, the inadequate police presence and the refusal of District
Attorney John Creuzot to fully prosecute criminals have allowed crime
to flourish in minority-dominant neighborhoods. Entire regions of
Dallas are essentially no-go zones because of the violence that Dallas
residents have come to expect.
The problem and the solution are
obvious to honest residents of Dallas. Minorities suffer the most from
violent crime because criminals are allowed to thrive in their
neighborhoods. The solution is to put more cops on the street and
enable them to do their job.
DPD is currently understaffed by nearly
1,000 officers. Hiring 1,000 police officers would increase DPD’s
manpower by about 30% – imagine how much safer Dallas could be!
Keep
Dallas Safe believes that Dallas residents of all ethnicities deserve
to live in safe, peaceful neighborhoods. Contact your city council
member to demand that they take the safety of their constituents

you want 1,000 more officers on our streets to keep us all safe!

Press Highlights:
Dallas’s Murder Rate is Still Up in 2023
It is fine
to celebrate the minor decrease in “overall” crime in Dallas, but it is
not okay to ignore that the murder rate is still up! DPD has enacted a
smart plan to divide the city into grids and focus resources on crime
hotspots, but the plan will never be effective with an understaffed
police department. DPD needs to move from 3,000 to 4,000 police
officers ASAP.

Police Investigating Murder in Old East Dallas
A 46-year-old
man was shot and killed on Sunday morning in Old East Dallas. Police
have not released further details about the killer or potential
motives. Whether it was drug-related, a fight that escalated, or simply
a random killing, the family of the victim will be left to wonder if it
could have been prevented by better policing.

Crash Faces Intoxication Manslaughter Charges
In recent years, police
departments have been defunded, and individual officers have been
martyred because of opportunistic Left-wing protests. Thus, to avoid

Tracking Illegal Camps:

id=zDhOQc Each week the KDS team drives its planned route through Dallas
photo-documenting and cataloguing illegal encampments to inform the
city of these locations. Our team livestreams these activities giving
the community a first-hand look at the vagrancy crisis in Dallas.

In
this episode, we discovered a HUGE tent colony at LBJ and SH-75!

 District 10 Councilwoman Kathy Stewart's
"Picket Fence Camp"
We named this camp in Kathy Stewart’s District 10
“Picket Fence Camp.” Vagrants in this district have created their own
little neighborhood next to one of Dallas’s busiest intersections, yet
hidden from view. This is why Dallas’s homeless population is woefully
underestimated: there are dozens of huge camps that we don’t even know
exist!
 District 6 Councilman Omar Narvaez's
"Junk Camp"
This
camp in Omar Narvaez’s District 6 has been dubbed “Junk Camp.” Many
camps are hidden from public view, but there is no excuse for ignoring
the vagrancy crisis when vagrants are living like this beside busy
highways. Tarps and bike parts are strewn all around this drainage
ditch next to I-35. Councilman Narvaez can’t claim to care about the
problem while this is happening in his backyard.
 District 6
Councilman Omar Narvaez's
"Frankenstein Camp"
This camp in Omar
Narvaez’s District 6 has earned the title “Frankenstein Camp.” This
camp is made up of a tent, but not in any way that makes sense.
Vagrants are often mentally ill or severely addicted to drugs, so their
camps are often bizarre and cluttered. It should be extremely apparent
to everyone how badly Dallas's homeless population needs centralized
services!

Statement:
Keep Dallas Safe exists to address crime and homelessness
in Dallas with the goal of transforming Dallas into the safest large
city in Texas for residents and businesses. We aim to have a City
Council that prioritizes crime rate which directly determines the
quality of life in Dallas. We do this by fighting against the "defund
the police" movement, holding accountable our city leaders' efforts
towards lowering district crime rates, and highlighting our city's
homelessness problems by pushing for enforcement of the prohibition of
urban camping.
