Team, earlier this week, Marcy voted to avert yet another government shutdown that chaotic House Republicans were bumbling toward. When the government shuts down, too many Americans are hurt. 

Parks close, airport security goes without paychecks, seniors worry about critical Social Security payments, and important agencies like the VA are hit hard. The list goes on. 

But Marcy stepped up to vote to avoid crisis. The bill she voted for doesn't include extreme cuts that MAGA-Republicans have long been pushing for. It funds the government through the year so that Republicans don't shut down the government during the busy holiday season.
