Help us hold back the destruction.

Dear John

Do you know Lough Neagh, the UK’s largest freshwater lake? Or the majestic Sperrin mountains that rise over it?

Few people outside Northern Ireland do. That’s changing – but for all the wrong reasons. Beautiful Lough Neagh is becoming infamous for a devastating blue-green algal bloom. The toxic sludge this has created is killing local wildlife and impacting local communities.

And the largest mountain range on the island of Ireland – the Sperrins – is the new wild west for gold mining. Greedy mining companies are putting local wildlife habitats at grave risk.

You may not know these special habitats but you can still help save them, along with other places across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. So, will you help us protect these precious places with a donation?
I’LL DONATE FOR THE PLANET ([link removed])
Your donation could help our legal experts take on the corporations ravaging our landscapes. And boost our campaign to establish an independent environment agency in Northern Ireland that enforces the law.

Wildlife in Lough Neagh is dying. Fish populations are almost wiped out and the number of wintering birds is down by 80%. Sewage, farmland pollution run-off, and unsustainable sand-dredging are to blame.

The peaks and glens of the Sperrins are home to endangered species such as pine martens and red squirrels. But gold mining threatens this area of outstanding natural beauty and home to wildlife.

Help us hold back the destruction and please support us with a donation today.
I’LL DONATE FOR THE PLANET ([link removed])
Thanks to supporters like you, we can keep tackling powerful institutions and corporations to protect people and planet.

Anything you can give will make a big difference. But if you can’t donate right now, I completely understand.

Thanks for everything you do to support us.

Best wishes,

Declan Allison
