It's not very often that I'll agree with a right-wing Republican, but you know what they say: even a broken clock is right twice a day.

So you have to check out this doozy from the rabidly conservative Rep. Chip Roy during a floor debate yesterday on Republican attempts to shutdown the government:

"I want my Republican colleagues to give me one thing. ONE – that I can go campaign on and say we did. ONE. Anybody sitting in the complex, if you want to come down to the floor and come explain to me, one material, meaningful, significant thing the Republican majority has done." I couldn't have said it better myself, Mr. Roy.

As you know, Republicans have spent nearly a year trying to ban abortion, defund the government, cut taxes for billionaires, threaten default, and sow chaos amongst themselves — so it's no wonder they have zero accomplishments to run on.

But that doesn't mean they won't spend millions to keep their power in Congress — and we certainly can't afford to find out what will happen if they expand their majorities in 2024, especially with Donald Trump on the ballot again.
