URGENT ACTION NEEDED: Stop the U.S. from financing a fossil fuel disaster in Guyana! >> Take action now!
The U.S. Export-Import Bank is considering funds for a natural gas plant and offshore pipeline that undermines climate goals and threatens pollution for the Guyanese people. Would you want a foreign country financing a toxic plant near your home?
Installing solar panels on people’s roofs would meet the energy needs of Guyanese communities. It would cost less to build, reduce bills for ratepayers, generate local jobs, and fight the climate crisis. Seems like a no-brainer, right Friend? Instead, the U.S. might fund the project that will make greedy companies ExxonMobil even richer! Please, Friend, tell the U.S. Export Import Bank to REJECT the fossil fuel project in Guyana before it’s too late!
This gas project will have global consequences. Every day we see the impacts of the climate crisis: rising sea levels, crops dying, new diseases spreading, unprecedented storms, floods, and fires. Pumping out even more gas emissions is a DEATH SENTENCE for many places around the world -- and in some cases the people who live in the vicinity.
According to UN researchers, we need to immediately end all liquefied natural gas investments to avoid catastrophic global warming. The U.S. previously pledged not to support new projects like this -- but now it’s poised to violate its own commitment. That’s why we need YOUR help right now! Will you help STOP this climate bomb project in Guyana and protect people and the planet?
