Dear John,

When Coach D, Dana Harris, stepped onto the playground 11 years ago, he was determined to help kids find their own light to shine. He saw his role as creating the opportunity for them to practice leadership skills and helping them discover their best selves through the power of play.

Your contribution <[link removed]> enables opportunities like this for kids to
shine.

Coach D led the Playworks Junior Coach leadership program for six years. That means he had almost 100 4th and 5th grade leaders who he poured his heart into directly. They’re each using their leadership superpowers differently today as grown ups. There were students like Ismani who is now on a Division III basketball team or students like Janelys who developed the confidence to speak in front of a large crowd at a Playworks gala a few years ago.
In Playworks schools nationwide this school year, the Junior Coach program gives more than 5,000 kids the opportunity to become school leaders. According to a recent study by Partnerships in Education and Resilience <[link removed]>, Playworks Junior Coach leadership program participants demonstrated statistically significant positive change in 14 areas including perseverance, trust, empathy, academic motivation, and more.

Your support today is an investment in these young leaders, like Ismani and Janelys, and the bright and healthy futures that are ahead of them. Donate today <[link removed]> and your gift will be matched up to
$150,000 by the Playworks National Board of Directors!
In Play,
