BJS has released a how-to video that describes the functionality of the Justice Expenditure and Employment Tool (JEET). The JEET allows users to explore expenditure and employment statistics for different justice functions (total justice system, police protection, judicial and legal, corrections) and different levels of government (state, county, and city). This short video has chapter markers that allow navigation to specific sections, including overviews of the four JEET dashboards and available resources.
The Bureau of Justice Statistics of the U.S. Department of Justice is the principal federal agency responsible for collecting, analyzing, and disseminating reliable statistics on crime and criminal justice in the United States. Kevin M. Scott, PhD, is the acting director.
