It’s Alexander Vindman.
Most of you know that I’m an Army Veteran. And most of you know who I am because of Trump’s first impeachment trial.
But it wasn't just me who blew the whistle on President Trump. It was me and my brother Eugene – a former Colonel in the U.S. Army – who was the senior ethics official at the National Security Council in the White House at the time.
Now Eugene is running for Congress in Virginia where he will continue the fight to defend our democracy and the Constitution both of us swore to protect.
But he can't do it alone.
I am with him – there is nothing more important to me right now. So if you believe Congress needs more members with the integrity and courage to put service to country first, I am asking:
When I testified before Congress during the first impeachment of Donald Trump, I did it to stand up for our democracy.
My brother and I were both attacked by Trump. Both of our careers in the Army suffered and ended abruptly.
Since both of us stood up to Trump, Republicans’ abuse of power and attacks on our democracy have only grown.
Most recently, extremists in Congress chose Mike Johnson to be Speaker of the House – the “mastermind” of the attempt to overturn the 2020 election and undermine our democracy.
We need more members in the House who are willing to stand up to extremism and who are prepared to hold corrupt officials accountable.
We need members with the courage to put their constituents first.
My brother Eugene will do that. But he can't do it without your help:
Eugene’s congressional campaign is extremely important to me. Thank you in advance for donating. This means a lot to me personally.
