Biden Sets AI Technology Back in Deal with China
Fox News: President Biden is set to strike a deal with China that would limit the use of artificial intelligence in nuclear weapons. Biden and Xi will agree to limit AI use in the systems that control and deploy nuclear weapons as well as the technology’s use in autonomous weapon systems such as drones ( Fox News). Bizpac Review: But Biden’s plan to strike the deal with the Chinese leader has sparked concerns from some experts who say this is not the big win for the U.S. he may think it is. “This is an incredibly poor decision,” Christopher Alexander, the chief analytics officer of Pioneer Development Group. “To begin with, China lags behind the U.S. in AI capabilities; so the Biden administration just ceded a strategic advantage. Additionally, AI helps reduce stress to improve decision-making, which is crucial in preventing a poor decision to release nuclear weapons,” he explained. Samuel Mangold-Lenett, a staff editor at The Federalist, wondered if China’s track record is proof enough that the Communist nation cannot be depended on to stick to the agreement. “It is foolish to believe China will honor any agreement limiting the use of AI in nuclear weapons. Look at the Paris Climate Agreement: despite agreeing to reduce carbon emissions, China continued to be one of the world’s worst polluters. It similarly has no regard for human rights or intellectual property,” he said ( Bizpac Review).

South Africa Makes Friends with Hamas, Iran
National Review: South Africa continues to taunt the national-security interests of the United States. Earlier this year, amid American allegations that South Africa had supplied arms to Russia, the U.S. rebuked the government for hosting Russian and Chinese vessels for naval exercises. Now the administration in Pretoria has emerged as one of the staunchest allies of Iran and Hamas in the diplomatic war against Israel. It has repeatedly sought to excuse or downplay Hamas’s culpability for October 7, while stridently attacking the Israeli response. Beyond such rhetorical support, the particular risk is that South Africa will come to supply material support and sanctuary to Iran and its proxies in Africa. On the day of the so-called Al-Aqsa Flood operation, South Africa’s foreign ministry issued a statement that not only did not condemn Hamas for the mass slaughter of defenseless people but did not even mention the terror group, instead managing to put the blame for what it euphemistically called this “new conflagration” entirely on Israel ( National Review).

U.S. Senate Kills the Israel Aid Bill
Hill: The Senate voted along party lines Tuesday to table a motion to proceed on the House-passed bill that would provide $14.3 billion in emergency aid to Israel and pay for it by cutting the Internal Revenue Service’s budget. The vote came after a group of Senate conservatives ambushed Democrats by offering a surprise motion to proceed on the House bill, which Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) had previously called “a total nonstarter” ( Hill). New York Post: Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) argued that funding for Ukraine and humanitarian assistance must be included in any Israel package before it reaches the president’s desk ( New York Post).

Stockpile of Hamas Weapons, Equipment Found in Gaza Hospital by IDF
Spencer Brown: As Israel Defense Forces continued clearing out Hamas terrorists around Gaza City this week, they made their way to the Al-Shifa Hospital, long believed to be a base of operations for the Iran-backed terrorists, and found exactly what they expected: weapons caches, bastardized hospital equipment, and all the signs of a Hamas HQ hidden within a hospital to use Gazan civilians as human shields ( Townhall). Reporter Yaari Cohen: W eapons found inside Al-Shifaa Hospital. No end to Hamas’ Cynism ( X).

Hundreds of Illegal Immigrants Cross Dangerous Rio Grande in Texas
News Nation: Hundreds of migrants are crossing the border from Mexico, using the Rio Grande and a system of ropes and human chains to get to the U.S. NewsNation’s Ali Bradley was live in Eagle Pass, Texas, where migrants were risking their lives crossing a river that is deceptively deep and swift. Several people have already been swept away until they could regain their footing. While some migrants have made it across, others have not been so lucky. NewsNation witnessed one man who was unconscious and required CPR to resuscitate him. The Florida Wildlife Commission and the Texas Department of Public Safety are both on scene, warning people not to cross due to the danger. The group includes women and children, with some adults carrying children on their shoulders and other children being pulled across in innertubes ( News Nation). Bill Melugin: Another massive illegal crossing taking place in Eagle Pass, TX right now ( X).

NSA Compiles Glossary of Radical Woke Terms for Employees to Utilize
Daily Wire: The National Security Agency, responsible for monitoring threats both foreign and domestic for the U.S. military, assumed a new responsibility under the Biden administration — creating a massive glossary of woke terms for employees, ranging from “anti-racist” to the gender-neutral pronouns “ze” and “zir.” A copy of the NSA’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Glossary obtained and verified by The Daily Wire shows the agency now provides definitions for terms such as “queer theory” and “white fragility,” as part of its expansive guide to 327 social justice terms that blame “white Europeans” for engaging in “settler colonialism” and warn of “transmisogyny.” The 34-page document, published internally on May 6th, 2022, but never released publicly before The Daily Wire’s investigation, pushes blatantly left-wing views on race and sex. It explicitly endorses the tenets of Critical Race Theory and Queer Theory, both of which are included as terms on the glossary. The leaked, unclassified NSA document identifies itself as a “a glossary of terms and language commonly used in dialogue regarding diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice” and cites radical Critical Race Theory educators such as Robin DiAngelo and Ibram X. Kendi ( Daily Wire). NSA Glossary: The following is a glossary of terms and language commonly used in dialogue regarding diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice to be used as a reference. It is by no means a comprehensive list and, in every context, the meaning of these words may change and evolve. This glossary and its definitions provide a starting point for engaging in open and honest conversation, and is a tool meant to build a shared language of understanding ( NSA Glossary).

North Dakota Judge Protects Minors From Gender Transition Surgery
Fox News: A North Dakota judge ruled that he will not immediately block the state’s ban on gender transition treatment for minors. District Judge Jackson Lofgren on Monday denied a temporary restraining order requested by the plaintiffs. The three families and a pediatrician who are suing also sought a preliminary injunction to temporarily block the law from being enforced as their case proceeds, but a hearing for that request is not until January. The plaintiffs argued that North Dakota’s new restrictions on puberty blockers, hormones and surgery for children violate the constitutional rights of transgender youth in the state. House Bill 1254, which took effect in April, makes it a felony for a healthcare provider to perform gender transition surgery on a minor. The law also makes it a misdemeanor punishable by up to 360 days in jail and $3,000 in fines to prescribe or give hormone treatments or puberty blockers to a child ( Fox News). Daily Caller: Twenty-two states have passed restrictions on transgender medical procedures for minors, but several are unable to enforce the laws due to lawsuits ( Daily Caller).

Townhall: A Palestinian flag has been raised in North Andover, Massachusetts, amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas war. The controversial move to raise the flag was approved after an hour of public comment during a rowdy Select Board meeting Monday night. It will now fly on the Town Common flag pole until Dec. 7 ( Townhall). New York Post: College student Selma Khayal originally petitioned for the Palestinian flag to be raised after the town had flown the Israeli flag on the same pole following the Hamas terror attacks on Oct. 7 ( New York Post).

Eight Teens Arrested in Las Vegas for Murder of 17-Year-Old
NBC: Eight teenagers were arrested Tuesday and booked on suspicion of murder in connection with the death of a 17-year-old who was fatally beaten near a Las Vegas high school this month, police said. The eight, who were not publicly identified because they are minors, were part of a group of at least 10 people who punched, kicked and stomped Jonathan Lewis after school on the afternoon of Nov. 1, Las Vegas police officials said. The suspects, who are ages 13 to 17, were booked on suspicion of murder, Undersheriff Andrew Walsh said at a news conference Tuesday afternoon. He said the police department was urging that qualified suspects be charged as adults ( NBC). Daily Wire: According to local media, a process known as certification allows authorities to automatically move murder charges to the adult system for 16-year-old or 17-year-old suspects under Nevada state law. Judges can also certify suspects over the age of 14 as adults for any felony offense, including murder ( Daily Wire).

President Biden’s Judicial Nominee Fails to Answer Basic Law Question
Daily Caller: Republican Louisiana Sen. John Kennedy stumped one of President Joe Biden’s judicial nominees as he asked her to define basic legal definitions. Kennedy, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, asked judicial nominee Sara E. Hill to describe the difference between a “stay order” and an “injunction” during a Wednesday hearing. These two terms are basic legal terms taught early on in law schools ( Daily Caller) . Greg Price: Biden judicial nominee Sara Hill “made history” by being the first Native American woman nominated to serve as a federal judge in Oklahoma. Today, she was unable to explain the difference between a stay order and an injunction when asked by Sen. Kennedy ( X).
