CIRC Action Fund is proud to announce that 11 of our endorsed candidates have won their elections in Aurora, Boulder, Commerce City, Fort Collins, Thornton, and Westminster! Additionally, our voter engagement program helped defeat ballot measure 2A in Colorado Springs, which would have added unnecessary funds to their police department, perpetuating a system that has historically harmed marginalized communities, at the expense of social programs. Our voter engagement program was critical to these wins for immigrant rights: This year our canvass team knocked over 15,000 doors, sent 25,000 texts, and had 3,500 face to face conversations with voters! We are excited to see these candidates contribute to our ongoing work of expanding access to healthcare for undocumented Coloradans and improving the lives of immigrants and working-class people.
We chose to invest in local elections because we believe in the vital importance of local races. City council seats and mayoral positions directly influence local policies that impact the daily lives of the communities we serve. By endorsing candidates who share our values and engaging with voters who have been historically left out of our democratic processes, we believe we can create tangible and immediate change at the grassroots level that reverberates throughout our state.
Through our endorsements and the tireless efforts of our dedicated canvassers, staff, volunteers and supporters, we have made important strides toward defending immigrant rights, expanding access to essential resources like housing, and championing the cause of working-class people.

No on Ballot Measure 2A
Our work doesn't end with these victories. As we look ahead to future elections, including next year's presidential election, we understand the importance of building on our successes in odd-year elections and of maintaining a strong on-the-ground relationship with voters. Together, we are working to build a Colorado where every resident is treated with dignity and has equal access to a fair quality of life.
