Listen, writing these kinds of emails is not my favorite part about running a campaign. I’d rather be out talking to people about my policy positions, including: lowering prescription drug costs, protecting Medicare and Social Security, getting assault weapons off our streets, and so much more.
But the truth is, my policy positions won’t matter if we don’t defeat Mike Lawler next November. Mike Lawler and his MAGA Republican colleagues have shown us time and again they are neither interested nor capable of addressing the most urgent issues facing our nation and the world today.
There is too much at stake to leave our democracy in the hands of a political party that tries to destroy it and swore their allegiance to Donald Trump over the will of the people.
Punchbowl recently named NY-17 as one of the most important districts in determining the House majority and election experts are calling this race a “toss-up.” In order to run the strongest campaign capable of defeating MAGA Mike Lawler and win this tough race, we cannot miss any fundraising goal. We have to keep closing the fundraising gap between our grassroots-powered campaign and his corporate PAC-sponsored one.
