Our allies at Healthcare-NOW are in need of volunteers to collect and process thousands of stories from across the United States.

NNU - Medicare for All!

Our allies at Healthcare-NOW, a non-profit grassroots coalition that organizes in support of the single-payer health care movement, need our support.

Through their “Voices of US Healthcare” project, Healthcare-NOW is working to capture the stories of thousands of people who have been impacted by our broken health care system — people whose everyday reality has been ignored and silenced for too many years.

The stories are pouring in, which is why they need volunteers to join their Story Response Team.

Members of the Story Response Team play an extremely important role in the “Voices of U.S. Healthcare” project: when people share their health care stories, which can be an emotional process that takes a lot of courage, the Response Team reviews their story, posts it to the website if given permission, and responds to the story-teller in a thoughtful and compassionate way. For many people sharing their stories, it will be their first time “going public” or getting involved with the Medicare for All movement.

Volunteers for the Story Response Team should be compassionate communicators who know what it feels like to make yourself vulnerable in public. Volunteers will also have access to confidential information shared by people submitting their stories, and must deeply value that confidentiality and be trusted not to save or share any private information.

With your support, Healthcare-NOW aims to collect and elevate the stories of people all over the country who’ve been harmed by our current, for-profit health care system, so we can further build our movement to win single-payer, guaranteed health care through Medicare for All.
