Dear John,

Once again, Republicans brought us to the edge of a government shutdown, and once again, Democrats bailed them out. 

We know the impact that a government shutdown has on our working families. Government employees lose their paychecks, government programs pause, health inspections pause, and more. 

For the second time in less than 2 months, House Democrats did what extreme House Republicans refuse to do – avoid a shutdown and protect our nation from the very real consequences of shutdowns.

Democrats are the only party showing real leadership in the House and it is yet another reason we must fight to flip the House in 2024. Do you agree?

Over and over, House Republicans have proved themselves incompetent, and we need to hold them accountable at the ballot box, which means we need to build momentum now.
