Hi there,
I'm writing to you from our office in Chavakali, Kenya, where I'm based as the program manager for Safe Water Now, about an opportunity to double your impact on safe water.
But first, I want to tell you about Scovia, Robert, and Jacob.
Scovia and Robert both live in Uganda, in a village called Namazingiri. They're two of our promoters, which means they were elected by their community to manage their village's chlorine dispenser. They’re responsible for making sure it’s always stocked with chlorine and for educating their community on the lifesaving benefits of using it.
While Scovia and Robert are encouraging water treatment in their community, Jacob is always on the road. As a field officer, he rides long distances – often on roads only accessible by motorbike – to meet with promoters and make sure all 856 chlorine dispensers in Uganda’s Iganga district are working properly.
I wanted to make sure you knew their names, because Scovia, Robert, and Jacob are crucial to Safe Water Now. Our promoters and local staff are how we’ve maintained our 52,000+ chlorine dispensers across Africa, kept communities engaged in water treatment, and ultimately brought safe water access to 10 million people. Hear directly from Scovia, Robert, and Jacob on how the dispenser has changed lives in this video.
We have a special opportunity for you to double your impact on Safe Water Now! For a limited time – until December 13 – every dollar you give will be matched by a generous supporter, allowing you to help save even more lives. Every dollar makes a difference – our model allows us to deliver safe water access for less than $1.50 per person per year. Don’t miss this chance to even further maximize your impact!
